If you’re in Andong for a visit or you live here full time and you’re looking for a sweet brunch cafe you’ve got to check out 396 Coffee in Okdong. Just minutes from emart, this cafe features multiple in-house roasted coffees and decadent pastries and sandwiches.
This shop conducts training for baristas and aspiring coffee shop owners, reflected in the multiple blends of coffee available. They have a side area in part of the coffee shop where they do roasting.
Different coffee blends are available, we love the Corduroy and Oxford blends.
This cafe has a great menu with many western classics available that aren’t usually found in Korea, such as a yogurt bowl with house made granola, tomato soup, tres leches cake, oatmeal cookies, and more.
This tres leches cake features a light, fluffy cake soaked in sweet milk and the toppings change seasonally.
This cafe offers a number of different freshly made savory and sweet pastries :)
These lemon tarts feature a bright, sharp lemon custard and a fluffy sweet meringue and we’re happy to report no soggy bottoms here!
We usually opt for the baguette sandwich and an americano.
With ham, tomato, lettuce and Dijon piled on a soft baguette with a chewy crust, it’s something that’s truly unique in Andong that will make you feel like you’re in a European or American cafe. It’s a nice taste of home and a great place for brunching. It’s wildly popular among both foreigners and Koreans alike.
